Scott McCullough - AthleteTX

ABOUT

AthleteTx Sports Medicine Inc. (AthleteTx) was founded in 2023 by Scott McCullough to provide industry-leading sports medicine services to both professional athletes and the local community.

Scott worked in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for over 28 years, including 17 years as the Head Athletic Trainer/Therapist for the Toronto Raptors, and six years as the Head Athletic Trainer/Therapist for the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies. He also made three appearances as the Eastern Conference NBA All Star Head Athletic Therapist (2011/2016/2023), and was an integral member of the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 NBA Championship Team.

Scott was inspired to become an Athletic Therapist after injuring his knee while playing volleyball in university. Shortly after, he graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Physical & Health Education, and was certified as an Athletic Therapist in 1996. Throughout his career, Scott has continued to master his craft, receiving his Master’s of Science (Human Movement) from AT Still University in 2010, and completing courses in Mulligan mobilizations, Graston massage techniques, and Kinesiology taping.

Through AthleteTx, Scott aims to combine his passion for overall health and fitness with his unique and successful experience in the NBA to create an injury management process that works for anyone who needs it – whether you’re a professional athlete or just someone looking to live a more mobile, healthier life.
